Meeting with MEP Candidate Byrne and discussed a number of issues that need to be addressed both at local and European level. Topics discussed included Tourism, Business Supports, Challenges for Rural Businesses and Communities, Funding, Environment and Trade. In the area of trade, particular discussion was had in relation to Free trade agreements and working with irish compnies to ensure they are in a position to capitalise on the opportunities.
