- The Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland, as part of the Health and Social Care Professional Alliance (HSCPA), was a co-signatory of two letters to the Minister of Health and the Secretary General of the Department of Health on the 27/2/2020 and the 11/3/2020 respectively, regarding the advertisement of the role of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The inclusion of the Health and Social Care Advisor post under the CNO post is not acceptable to the HSCPA .

- I am involved the the COVID-19 working group fro the ELE sector. I have been in touch with individuals regarding challenges facing the ELE sector at this challenging time. I have made proposals regarding IRP cards (move on-line), Refunds and potentially vulnerable students. I also lobbied for the Irish government to work closely with the Northern Ireland Executive in relation to an island wide action plan to dealing with COVID-19.

- Contact was made with the Minister of Health Simon Harris by email to formally request consideration for paid clinical placements for final year radiography students in line with their nursing and midwifery counterparts as had been recently announced by the Department of Health as a measure to secure frontline health services in light of the Covid-19 crisis.
