- For parents who have children with complex medical needs, the HSE policy of 'In Loco Parentis' compels parents to provide a 'competent adult' to be in the home. This policy applies even when a qualified nurse is there should the parents decide to leave the home. Jack & Jill are advocating, as part of Jack & Jill’s manifesto for General Election 2020, that the implementation of the policy of 'In Loco Parentis' must be reversed and are urging the Government, to abolish this clause.
