A staff member at a local rural restaurant recently tested positive for COVID. The owners closed the restaurant as a precaution as soon as they were notified. Tried to access testing or support from HSE, Contact Tracing etc but were told that they were not on the list. Locally message was that team member at restaurant tested positive
The Gov announced restrictions on the counties of Kildare, Laois and Offaly that impacted on businesses and communities in various ways. The boundary between Carlow and Laois, running through Graigcullen impacts busienss with some like the Talbot Hotel Carlow being required to close due to the fact that it is just over the boundary line and pays rates to Laois, despite its main economic area being the greater Carlow area.
