Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions CLG · 2 returnsTourism
AVEA (Association of Visitor Experiences and Attractions) thanked Government for providing ongoing supports to the visitor attractions sector. However, the current Living with Covid plan does not allow for visitor attractions to reopen at Level 3. AVEA presented six reasons to permit reopening at Level 3, as had been enabled in the November 2020 iteration of the Living with Covid Plan.
A Government decision is expected imminently on the reopening of indoor visitor attractions. However, many visitor attractions may not be able to re-open viably, as restrictions on intercounty and international travel, combined with social distancing/capacity limits, will create extremely challenging, if not impossible, trading conditions.
