Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services
Budgetary matters
- A meeting to raise awareness about the most ambitious multi-phase project in the history of Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services,ie, the 2018 redevelopment of our specialist palliative care unit in Harold’s Cross; the establishment of Wicklow Hospice in 2020; the ongoing complete refurbishment of Blackrock Hospice; & planning for the refurbishment of our Anna Gaynor Residential Unit in Harold’s Cross. Attendees were also briefed on our new community-focused ‘outpatients’ model of care.

Employment
- Support was requested from local Oireachtas members in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown in relation to the new Local Employment Services 'Request for Tender' process being initiated by the Dept. of Social Protection. The extremely high financial risks involved and the moves towards monitization of the service undermine the capacity of Local Development Companies to engage in the process and also risk damaging the service provision to those most distanced from the labour market at a local level.
