In the matter of access to Psychiatry of Later Life services from the HSE at a care home owned by CareChoice Swords Ltd. in Swords, Co. Dublin, CareChoice wrote to the Minister for State in the Department of Health noting that psychiatry services have not been provided by the HSE to the care home since it opened in 2019 and this impacts on new and existing residents, many of whom cannot afford private psychiatry services and as such puts CareChoice Swords Ltd. at a competitive disadvantage.
